This time it's Arranvin Lantnodel, my 'main' char, who I've been playing variations of for years.

           My name is Arranvin Lantnodel.

    2. Do you have any brothers or sisters?

            Yes, Sylnes is my younger sister.

    3. How old are you?

             Old beyond your ken. Do not trouble yourself over it.

    4. What's your height?

             I stand over six feet tall.

    5. Are you a virgin?

              No. 

    6. Who is your mate/spouse?

              Idril Telemnar. She is the guiding light of my existence.

    7. Do you have any kids?

              Idril and I have a son together, Estel. He is our joy. I also have another son, Nulyth. I do not know if he still lives... I hope so. There have been others over the years, but they have long since passed....

               I don't really have one. I suppose what I enjoy most is whatever Idril makes for me.

               Yes, I have. More than I can count. But always with good reason. I respect life.

                Yes, I do. I hope you don't expect me to tell any of them to you!

    11. Do you love anyone?
      
                  First and foremost, Idril and Estel. After them, Cuthalion, Sylnes, Feralas and Haliss, Solonor... Clarohel, Idril and Anvari... I am lucky enough to love and be loved by many. Some sadly are no longer with me.

                  I am Commander of The Watch of Lindornea, and the Eye of Solonor.

                  Can you not tell? I have heard some find it difficult with elves, so I take no offence. Boy.

    14. What do you do to relax?

                   I spend time with my wife and child, or practice with my bow.

                   Tease them in return. If I'm not enjoying the teasing, I'll ask them to stop. If they don't, I will avoid them, or make them stop.

                     Openly and honestly. Trying to deny what I felt for Idril almost destroyed me...

                      Those who I have been unable to save. The loved ones who have fallen. I see them still, in my dreams.

                       Yes, I do. We are close, and have been so for a long time.

                        I do. Sometimes it is a happy experience where I roam in my own imagination. Other times I bear the burden of regret and unhappy memories. Still, I would not change that.

I'm sitting here in my room at half 6 in the morning, telling myself that I should be revising for my driving theory test tonight. But I can't seem to get myself to do it. Even though I only have fifteen minutes before I have to leave for work.

Everything just seems really fucking pointless lately. What do you do when you lose what made life worth living? When you realise just how deeply unhappy you are with your life, now that you're not able to push all the bad things to the side? When the one thing that kept you going, the one thing you really wanted in life is taken from you.

I've got some wonderful friends, I know, and they're making things easier, but even so it's still so fucking hard to make myself get up in the morning.

So really, I guess the question is, why do I continue to draw breath?

Part of me is embarrassed at how self-pitying and emo this post sounds, but hell, this is how I'm feeling.

I wish I could either sleep for a year or just let everything go and surrender to sweet oblivion.

But that ain't my style.

Maybe that's what's keeping me going. Sheer bloody-minded stubbornness.

After nearly a year I'm finally posting again, and it's less to do with me and more with RP. Figures... :)

Inspired by others I've seen, I've decided to make Memes for my RP characters. All of them, in time, but Telcontar, my Nest LARP character, to begin with. Here goes -

    Telcontar Cuthalion, husband to Tinuviel, of the Outcasts.

    2. Do you have any brothers or sisters?

    I have both a brother and a sister. There is no love lost between my sister and I, but I do miss my little brother.

    3. How old are you?

    I have not always counted the passing of the seasons, but I have watched their dance more than 300 times.

    4. What's your height?

    I am just over six feet tall.

    5. Are you a virgin?

    No, not for a very long time.

    6. Who is your mate/spouse?

    Tinuviel, mela en coi'amin. She is the kindest, wisest, most beautiful being I have ever encountered. Sometimes I wonder if I behold The     Lady cloaked in flesh. It is my great honour and joy that she finds me worthy of her love.

    7. Do you have any kids?

    ... None that lived, and it seems that fate decrees that I shall never hold another child of my blood in my arms, nor watch them grow and         learn. Tinuviel and I will die childless, I think.

    Nuts and berries from the forest are my favourite, although I also relish the taste of meat.

    More than I can count. The bodies of those I have killed would litter the ground like fallen leaves in autumn. Some I regret. Most I don't.

    None I can think of.

    Tinuviel. She is my world, my heart, my soul. I love my brother, and I care for my companions also.

    12. What is your job?

    To stop the Eternal before it can destroy the world. And to keep my love safe.

    If I had to choose, boy. Not that it matters, I shall have neither, and it does little good to dwell on it.

    Spend time with Tinuviel, often... hunting squirrels....

    Warn them to stop. If they don't, make them stop.

    16. Let’s say you have a person who you really care about but she/he doesn’t know about your feelings. How do you tell her/him?

    Wait for the right moment, when the two of you are alone and it is quiet. Unless you know that it will never work, or that your love will be a         burden to them. Then you should hold your peace, and keep your love in your heart.

    17. What do you most regret in life?

    That Tinuviel and I will not be able to watch the passage of many years together, to listen to our children at play, to see grandchildren and     more. I wish that we could have avoided the catastrophe at Timun, but it is knowing that Tinuviel and I will never make new life that     truly     hurts.

    18. Do you like your maker?

    My parents are nothing to me, as I was nothing to them. The Lady is my maker, and I am grateful.

    When else are we truly free?
